This FairShares Company was originally created as Co-operative and Social Enterprise Support in 2012 (it is the world's first FairShares Company). In 2018, Social Enterprise International Ltd (a co-founder) voted to transform the company into its trading arm. It reconstituted using FairShares V3.1 Model Rules for Companies, and recruited nine Contractor, Licensee and Investor members. Initial investments were used to sponsor the 7th EMES International Research Conference raise the profile of SEi Ltd and host the SEi International Roadshow. As the Roadshow did not go ahead, members voted to close the company in August 2019. It ceased trading in October and formally closed in 2020. The project remains historically important - it was the first ever FairShares company and a key test project for the FairShares Platform/Planner, and yielded one of the first FairShares Canvass's (attached).
